Questions About Joining our family at First Baptist
 | When Do I Join?
At the close of every worship service as a song is being
sung, pastors stand facing the congregation. Walk to one of
them during this invitation time and tell him you want—to
join the church or make some other decision.
Ways To Join First Baptist
• By professing faith in Jesus Christ and following Him in
water baptism.
• By transferring your membership from another Baptist
church or church of like faith and doctrine.
• By your testimony and statement of faith in Christ, and
that you have been Biblically baptized by immersion after
salvation.
When May I Be Baptized?
Baptism should follow your commitment to Christ as soon as
possible. This is the first step of obedience Christ asks
His followers to make. Baptisms take place weekly at First
Baptist.
Other Decisions
• Recommitment (Rededication) of your life to the Lord Jesus
Christ.
• Prayer—Special prayer needs.
• Surrender to the call of God into a church related
vocation or ministry.
You May Still Have Some Questions
“What will you do with Jesus?” This is the most important
question of your life. If you wish to talk with someone
concerning this, please come forward during the invitation
song. We want to answer all of your questions. You may want
to call the church for an appointment or a visit from one of
our staff. We anxiously await the opportunity to assist you
