If you should die this moment would you go to heaven?
Would you like to know you could go to heaven?
 |
YOU CAN KNOW: 1 John 5:13 |
 |
“These things I have written
to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that
you may know that you have eternal life.”
• God promises that we can know that we have eternal
life: not hope so or wish, but know.
This Is How: Romans 3:10
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no not one.”
• God says that no one is good. No one deserves
eternal life with God.
This Is Why: Romans 3:23
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of
God.”
• God has set a standard for everyone’s life. That
standard is holiness - no sin at all. But no one lives
up to God’s standard. We do things that God has said not
to do, and we do not do the things that God has told us
to do. We all sin.
This Is The Result: Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death”
• Just as wages, or pay, are a result of our working,
death is the result of our sin. We die physically and
spiritually. We become separated from God and will spend
forever in Hell.
But God Loves You: Romans 5:8
“But God demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while
we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
• God created you to be with Him forever because He
loves you. But He could not because of you sin. So Jesus
came and paid for you sin by dying for you and paying
the penalty of you sin. He did not just die, He came
back to life so that He could offer you eternal life
with Him.
You Cannot Save Yourself: Eph. 22:8-9
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and
that not of yourselves it is the gift of God not of
works, lest anyone should boast.”
• You can never pay for the penalty of your sins -
not by good works, not even by going to church.
It Is A Gift: Romans 6:23
“The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ
our Lord.”
• God offers this wonderful relationship with Him to
you as a free gift. All you have to do is receive it.
Here Is How: Romans 10:9
“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and
believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the
dead, you will be saved.”
• The word confess means to agree. Agree with God
about you sin and about Jesus paying the penalty for
your sin and coming back to life. You must agree not
just with your mouth, but with your heart also.
Believing in your heart means that you make a commitment
to surrender you life to Jesus. That means that you give
up control of your life to God, to live how He told you
to live in the Bible.
The Choice Is Yours: Romans 10:13
“Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be
saved.”
• If you want Jesus to take control of your life and
save you from the penalty of your sins then ask Him to
do it.
Now What: 1 John 2:3-4
“And hereby do we know that we know Him, if we keep His
commandments. He that saith I know Him and keepth not
His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him.”
• Now that you have given control of your life to
Jesus you need to live for Him.
Here’s How:
• Tell about your relationship with Jesus by being
baptized.
• Read the Bible daily.
• Obey everything God tells you in the Bible.
• Talk to God every day in prayer.
• Worship God in a local church. Please Let Me Know Of
